How to get Free Fire diamonds

Diamonds are Free Fire's premium currency, and there is a lot of noise about how to get them cheaply or free. This page separates the methods that actually work from the ones designed to take your account.

1. Official top-up

Buying through the in-game store or Garena's official top-up centre is the only method that reliably produces diamonds in any quantity. Both are operated by Garena, and the diamonds land on your account immediately.

Garena runs periodic top-up bonus events where a purchase awards extra items alongside the diamonds. If you intend to spend anyway, waiting for one of those windows is the single easiest way to get more for the same money.

Avoid cheap third-party resellers

Sites offering diamonds well below official pricing are a recognised risk. That inventory is frequently purchased with stolen payment cards; when the chargebacks land, Garena reverses the diamonds and may ban the receiving account. You lose the money and the account.

2. Booyah Pass and Elite Pass

The season pass costs diamonds rather than granting them, but it is the best value-per-diamond route in the game. A pass typically returns far more in cosmetic content than buying the same items individually would cost.

Worth being clear: this multiplies what your diamonds buy. It does not increase how many diamonds you hold.

3. Official events and giveaways

Garena regularly distributes rewards through channels that cost nothing:

• Anniversary events — the most generous windows of the year.
• Esports broadcasts — codes and rewards dropped during official tournaments.
• Partnered creator streams — Garena-sanctioned giveaways run with named creators.
• Login and milestone events — small rewards for playing during a period.
• Regional festivals — server-specific events tied to local holidays.

Amounts are modest and rarely include raw diamonds, but they are real, free, and carry no risk. The in-game news feed is the reliable place to track them.

4. Redeem codes

Redeem codes are free, but it is worth setting expectations correctly: most award cosmetic items — skins, bundles, emotes, pets, loot crates. Codes that touch diamonds almost always grant Diamond Royale vouchers, which are spins on the royale wheel rather than spendable currency.

5. Reward apps that pay in store credit

Some legitimate reward programmes pay in Google Play or App Store credit, which you can then spend on an official top-up. Google Opinion Rewards is the best-known example: it pays small amounts of Play credit for answering short surveys.

This is slow — realistically weeks of surveys for a modest top-up — but it is genuinely free and carries no account risk, because you are still buying through official channels at the end.

Apply judgement to this category. A reward app that pays out in store credit through the official app stores is a different proposition from one that asks for your Free Fire login, or promises to deposit diamonds directly. Nothing legitimate needs your game password.

Why every diamond generator is a scam

The reasoning is mechanical rather than a matter of opinion. Diamonds are a server-side balance held by Garena. Changing that balance requires write access to Garena's database. No public website has it. A generator therefore cannot do the one thing it claims to do.

What generator sites actually do:

• Harvest credentials. The "login to verify" step exists to capture your account.
• Farm ad revenue. Endless "verification" steps are ad impressions and affiliate installs.
• Distribute malware. The "required app" is frequently the actual payload.
• Resell your data. Phone numbers and emails collected during "verification" get sold on.

There is also a direct in-game consequence: attempting to exploit the currency system violates Garena's terms of service and can result in a permanent ban.

How to recognise one instantly

• It promises a specific large number of free diamonds.
• It asks for your Free Fire username, player ID plus a password.
• It has a "human verification" step requiring an app install or survey.
• It shows a fake live feed of other players receiving diamonds.
• It displays a countdown timer to manufacture urgency.
• Its diamond form sits on any domain that is not Garena's.
